Let me just start by saying this, you NEED L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles in your life! Karli & I recently had the opportunity to stay at this magnificent resort and it was nothing short of amazing. L’Auberge offers so many fantastic experiences that it is almost impossible to fit them all into one visit, but we tried! This post will highlight our experiences, and we will publish a second post detailing everything L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles has to offer. Make sure you read the entire article to find out how to save 20-25% on your next stay at L’Auberge Lake Charles!

On this trip we decided to brave Tropical Storm Cindy to head to L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles. Nothing would stop us from enjoying this amazing resort. Upon arrival we walked into the main lobby that features massive stone fireplaces that are simply breathtaking. We took a left to head to VIP check in. We were staying in one of L’Auberge’s Versaille’s Suites and were able to use VIP check in.

Check in went smoothly and we were able to go straight to our rooms, yes rooms. We wanted to be able to cover two room types for you and so we had one Versailles Suite and a connecting Double Queen Room. The rooms were located on the 16th floor and overlooked the lazy river.

When we walked into our Versailles Suite our jaws hit the floor. There really aren’t words to describe how fabulous this suite is! We entered and there is a small foyer and a guest restroom to the left. The living room area was breathtaking with the couch, two chairs, coffee table, two end tables, and probably the largest flat screen television we have ever seen! I mean seriously, this thing was bigger than the ones in display in Best Buy and framed in gold.

Next is the pool table area. Yes, that’s right, we had our own personal pool table in our room! How amazing is that? The table came equipped with pool sticks and tip chalk. We stayed up until 2 am playing pool and just enjoying the amazing room.

Another thing we loved about the room and utilized was the kitchen/bar area. The suite has a marble top bar with stools. There is a top of the line Keurig, sink, and mini fridge as well. We drank many cups of coffee and enjoyed them while watching tv on our gigantic television and playing pool. There was even a television you could watch while sitting at the bar!

The Double Queen room connected to our suite. It is a standard room at L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles and quite perfect on it’s own! We walked in and plopped down in the two queen beds and verified that they are just as soft as the bed in the suite. The room is very spacious and had a fully equipped bathroom with an extra makeup mirror. It also has a wardrobe, chair, desk, extra charging ports, a Keurig, and of course a flat screen television. We would highly recommend staying in a Double Queen room and definitely will stay in one in the future. They are also perfect if you do decide to stay in a suite at L’Auberge, to add on as a connecting room so that the whole family can enjoy the suite and have a place to sleep.

The master bedroom in the Versailles Suite is to die for! The center of the room is the massive king size bed. There is another monster flat screen television, two divine chairs, a table, nightstands, a wardrobe, and iPhone docking station.

The master bathroom was just as amazing! This bathroom was big enough to live in. There is a toilet in it’s own private area, a shower with the a giant shower head attached to the ceiling, two enormous vanities with a television monitor inside the mirror, and an infinity tub with it’s own private television! I have never seen a bathroom this glorious. I couldn’t wait to get in that tub!

In short the suite was simply the most amazing room we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot of hotel rooms. This, by far, easily topped them all. You have to do this! You must have some special occasion in your life that warrants staying in a suite like this. Whether it be birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or a girls night out, you deserve a night in this suite.

After we took a tour of our magnificent room we went down to eat in the restaurant Asia. Asia is a noodle and sushi bar featuring Asian cuisine. The theming and atmosphere can’t be beat and the food is delicious. We started with tempura shrimp as an appetizer. I had General Tso’s shrimp, while Karli opted for the Mixed Grill Platter.

After our fabulous lunch we went upstairs to change into our bathing suits. I want to emphasis we were staying during the middle of Topical Storm Cindy. Luckily for us by the time we finished lunch the rain had not began yet, so we quickly got changed and made our way to the L’Auberge lazy river. I have been wanting to get into their lazy river for years now, but somehow haven’t been able to make it. Topical storm or no tropical storm this time we were hitting the lazy river no matter what!

We were able to spend about thirty minutes and made a couple of loops around the lazy river. We also spent a few minutes in one of the hot tubs before the rain drove us out of the pool area. Dripping wet, we were forced to exit the pool and return to our luxury suite! I wish we always had it so rough.

We got back, showered and took advantage of the robes provided in the room. We watched, My Cat From Hell, and played pool for the next few hours in our glorious suite.  It was raining cats and dogs outside, but life was perfect from inside our suite!

Dinner time bought us back down to the first floor at Le Beaucoup Buffet. We have eaten at this restaurant numerous times and know that it never disappoints. The specialty of the night was all you can eat crab legs, which are Karli’s favorite. They also had steak, chicken, shrimp, baked potatoes, and just about anything else you could think of. The dessert bar was just as appealing. I am pretty boring and had plain soft serve vanilla ice cream while Karli was more adventurous and had the chocolate tiramisu.

After the buffet we were stuffed. We went back up to our suite. We watched television, played more pool, and even enjoyed cookies and milk before calling it a night around 2 am.

The next morning we slept in and woke up to a few more rounds of pool. I mean how often do you have you own personal pool table? We got ready to go to our pedicure appointments at Spa du Lac. Did you know L’Auberge has a full service spa? It is fantastic. We both had pedicures and loved the experience. The technicians  were excellent and very helpful. With the purchase of any service you also have use of the spa facilities for the day, which is a real treat. There is also a fitness center next to the spa.

Check out these cute toes!

After our pedicures we had our last meal at L’Auberge before heading back to Texas and reality. We chose Jack Daniel’s Bar & Grill. This was our first time at Jack Daniel’s and it did not disappoint. Karli had the 10 ounce sirloin, which was mouth watering and I had the bacon cheeseburger. The flavor was excellent and the atmosphere was fun.

Sadly after this we had to head home. This was the most fun we have ever had on a “staycation” EVER! It was in one word, perfect. The rooms were perfect, the food was perfect, the amenities were perfect, and the service at L’Auberge was perfect. We are looking forward to our next visit to L’Auberge.
