The Las Vegas Golden Nugget Hotel is located in downtown Las Vegas. It was originally built in 1948. It is part of the Fremont Street Experience and owned by Landrys, Inc.
The Golden Nugget boasts 2,419 hotel rooms. It is one of the oldest hotels in Sin City. The hotel has been featured in numerous movies and television shows. In 2021 the hotel underwent a $150 million renovation. It still displays the world’s largest gold nugget. The hotel has gained a great deal of attention due to its pool/aquarium that features live sharks. It has a total of five specialty restaurants. We love the downtown location that makes it easy to walk to several other casinos and restaurants. You can also easily find fast food on Fremont Street. We find it more convenient and less expensive to stay downtown rather than on the strip. It has over 38,000 sq ft of gaming space. We had Landry’s gift cards that we were able to use at the restaurants. The rooms are quite large and comfortable. We will return to the Golden Nugget.
