This place is amazing!!! You have to check out the Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve. It is located in Humble, Texas and is an experience like no other. Admission is $29.95 for adults and $24.95 for ages 3-11. Teachers are FREE!! Teachers simply need to bring their school ID to receive free admission Included with your ticket is access to the facility and the ability to interact with or touch most all of the animals. In addition you have the option to purchase credits, which you can use to purchase food to feed many of the animals. Some of the many animals at the facility include; otters, bamboo sharks, fish, stingrays, eels, giraffe, warthog, lemurs, snakes, mini pigs, sloth, kangaroo, ostriches, emus, and many more.
Feeding the otters was one of the highlights of our visit to the Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve. Feeding and touching the stingrays was also so much fun. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. We were able to pet a lemur and touch and feed a kangaroo. My niece loves ostriches and she was thrilled to have the opportunity to feed them. We enjoyed our time there so much that we were already planning our next visit as we were leaving the facility.
The facility also offers other experiences such as both a snorkel and scuba experience inside the stingray tank. In addition to daily passes you can also purchase individual or family memberships. The Houston Interactive Aquarium is located at 5440 N. Sam Houston Pkwy E. Humble, TX 77396.
