Lowes Portofino Bay Resort Orlando is one of my favorite hotels we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at many! This luxury hotel is located on property at Universal Orlando. We opted for this hotel while taking a Universal vacation. First, of course is the location. The resort is walking distance to the parks. They also offer free shuttles and a water taxi to the parks. Portofino Bay is a Premier Hotel, which means you get the added perk of free Universal Express Unlimited! This perk allows you to skip the line at participating attractions at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. You also are able to get early entry into the parks as well.
The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous. The lobby is breathtaking. The resort boasts a fully equipped spa and fitness center. There is an onsite art gallery. There are three beautiful outdoor pools, a waterslide, a pool bar, and a hot tub. The customer service can’t be beat. Wifi is included. The hotel has 6 floors and 750 rooms. There are five restaurants on property.
The standard rooms are 450-490 sq ft. They are huge!! They have king room that sleep up to 3 with a rollaway or a double queen room that sleeps up to five with a rollaway. The beds are so comfortable I did not want to get out of bed. We stayed in a standard garden view room and could not have been happier. There is an in-room safe, min-fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Portofino Bay Resort and would highly recommend it.
